The Battle of the Flowers is a typical celebration which thake place every year in Ventimiglia, in the month of June.
During the event, huge wagons carrying giant-size puppets entirely crafted from fresh flowers circulate in the main streets of Ventimiglia, accompanied by traditional folk music.
At the end of the parade, the wagon's occupants start to throw flowers at the public who respond doing the same.
The result is a very colorful and peaceful battle that at the end of the day will leave a carpet of vivacious blooms to cover the streets of the city.
