Under the old Castle built by Roman Consul Appio Caludio in 185 B.C. the Hotel and Restaurant "La Riserva di Castel d'Appio" was erected in 1967. The Hotel is located in Ventimiglia on a peak about 300m above the sea and enjoys a marvellous view of the Italian "Flower Riviera" (Riviera dei Fiori) and the French "Côte d'Azur".
A refined lounge for the winter Restaurant, a flowered terrace along the Swimming-Pool for dinners in the candlelight, suggest fish specialities from the Best Ligurian Tradition.
